Canoeing
Characteristics:
Canoeing is a nautical sport, practiced with the use of boats (canoe or
kayak) .In 1936, canoeing became part of the modalities of the Olympic Games
(in slalom and speed modes).
Speed Boating:
It is the most popular and is played in 2 km long channel. The Olympics
are held competitions in routes 500 m and 1000 m. Competitions are held with
one, two or four paddlers per canoe. The boats used are very fast, but
unstable. It is practiced in calm waters
Slalom Canoeing:
It is practiced in routes of 250 to 400 meters. The canoeists must go

Rules:
Slalom Canoeing:
It is practiced with kayaks in fast water on journeys ranging from 250m
