    Fencing - Renata Campos 9°a

Well, Fencing is considered as the oldest sport in the West, itt is believed that is in prehistory when the man was using weapons to attack and defense of animals , which is found the origin of fencing, i don't know if you guys but I could not imagine cavemen wearing a white and tight clothing  .... Back to the subject, it was in France in the XVII century came the first fencing schools. New moves have been created and combat the teaching was done on tracks painted on the floor. Moreover, at that time opened the discussion on fighting tools: the best was the sword with its tip cut, or the saber, the main blow was cut. It is said that many tests - in the form of duel - were performed to define which of the two instruments would be the best, but no results were achieved. Soon after this period, fencing began to evolve as a sport. Appeared lighter and less dangerous equipment such as rapier, and other more conducive to safety equipment: gloves, masks and vests for teachers. Furthermore, in order to prevent injury during training, some conventions have been established, for example, two people could not attack the same time. In the early nineteenth century, duels were extinct. The wound caused by the sword, which was once a sign of victory, is now replaced by the signals given by the referee. The introduction of the fencing at the Olympic Games took place in his first edition of the modern era in Athens, 1896.

Rules:
The label requires , first, that opponents to shake hands as they entered the track. The movement is done quickly with weapons , before they place the masks . Each fencer on track compliments the opponent, the referee and assistants; then put their masks.  The dispute may be individual or teams. In rapier worth touch the tip of the gun only in the opponent's torso (front and back) and ventral region. The sword is worth to touch the tip of the gun at any part of the body. In saber worth touch the tip and the cutting or counter-cutting blade weapon. The region must be reached is above the waist, including arms and excluding hands. In foil and saber, there is the so-called "right of way" or "sentence d'weapon." Who gets the attack has priority to win the point if touch simultaneously. If you miss the attack or if the opponent unable to defend before the response, the advantage goes to the opponent. In case it happens simultaneous touches without priority, no one scores. The sword, there is no sentence of arms in case of simultaneous touch, both opponents gain a point. If there is a tie in a sword fight, it is normal to give the players a few minutes to rest before they continue fighting for touch-breaker. On rare occasions, when it continues to give the tie situation, there may be a draw to elect the winner. In competitions , in the qualifying stage takes five touches or three minutes to win. In the qualification round are accurate fifteen touches or nine minutes. These rules may be flexible depending on the territorial level of competition and the responsible agency . Fencers in a silent or non- electric combat ( without electronics ) are observed by a referee and four assistants. In doubles, these aids are two steps behind each player , on both sides of the track and observe whether there is or not touch on fencer opponent. Eventually , in cases of doubt the referee, the assistants are called to a vote to see if there was score or not. The referee asks if there was a situation and the arbitrators can answer "yes" , "no" or " abstain".

Modern sport

Since the first Olympic Games of the modern era ( 1896) fencing is part of the Olympic events , one of four modes that are part of the Olympic Games since the first edition . Male disputes started in the Olympics with the foil and saber in 1896. The sword was introduced in men's disputes in the Olympic Games 1900 . In 1924 , women began to participate in the Olympic Games only in individual foil mode , a status he held until 1992. Since 1996 , they also began to compete in the Olympics in sword mode . Finally , from 2004 they began to compete in the Olympic Games with the do. Although the term " fencing match " often be used in brandish never have a "fight" but rather " a fencing match," because the fencing is a sport.

Clara Strack 9E Boxing

Boxing is a kind of fighting sport. We must have two fighters to compete in ring, and this one, must be an octagon ( or a square, usually at training gyms). The weight is the main factor for fight and it selects who fight together. The categories of fighters are based on the weight. If some fighter is over weight, he will not fight in your supposted categorie, he will go to some havier ( unlike too).
Win the fight who knock out the opponent. If it doesn't happend, win who do more attacks, unanimous decision from judges. The fighters can´t use their legs to knock out, just arms. Boxing fights usually during three to five rounds, each one during five minutes.
You must put your hands up all time to protect yourself if you don´t want to be hurt. Your legs must me inflected to have agility to dodge and attack. There are so many ways to hurt and knock out the opponent. Some fights end in seconds.
Some fighters that i love:
Ali Muhammad putting the bandage ( we put this one before the sleeve, so we don´t hurt our pulse).

Nate Diaz on the right and Mcgregor on the left.
